Water

• Wash & rinse the substrate before adding it to the jar
• Place your Marimo in freshwater, ideally in a container with cool, clean, non-chlorinated water.
• Change the water every 1-2 weeks to maintain cleanliness. In warmer weather, more frequent water changes may be necessary.
• If you are using tap water, leave to sit out for 24h to allow the chlorine to evaporate for best results
  

Light

• Marimo prefer indirect light, such as natural sunlight from a shaded window. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause browning and harm the plant.
• They can thrive under low artificial light too.
  

Temperature

• Marimo thrive in cooler temperatures, ideally between 20-25°C (68-77°F). Avoid placing them in hot environments, as extreme heat can damage them.
• If your ball starts to turn brown, it is too warm!
• Place your balls into the fridge for a few hours if they are starting to turn brown

Maintenance:

• Gently roll the Marimo in your hands during water changes to help it maintain its round shape and remove any debris.
• If your Marimo starts to flatten, give it a gentle squeeze to remove excess water and reshape it.

Growth:

• Marimo grow very slowly, about 5 mm per year. If desired, they can be divided by carefully cutting them in half and shaping the smaller pieces into new balls.

• Change the position of moss balls by gently swirling the jar or manually turning the moss balls every few days.
• Gently roll the Marimo in your hands during water changes to help it maintain its round shape and remove any debris.
• If your Marimo starts to flatten, give it a gentle squeeze to remove excess water and reshape it.

This is due to air bubbles trapped in the moss balls during water changes. Do not worry and the moss balls will sink after letting it settle for a day.

At Littlemarimo, we want you to be completely satisfied with your Marimo moss balls. If you are not entirely happy with your order, we offer the following returns and exchange policy:

Returns:

• You may return your Marimo Moss Balls within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund, excluding shipping costs.
• To be eligible for a return, the moss balls must be in its original condition and packaging.
• Please contact our customer service team to initiate the return process, and we will provide you with return shipping instructions.
• Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item.

Exchanges:

• If your moss balls arrives damaged or unwell, we offer a free replacement within 14 days of delivery.
• Please provide a photo of the issue when contacting our team to initiate an exchange.
• We will cover the shipping costs for any defective or damaged items that need to be replaced.

Non-Returnable Items:

• Custom or special-order items are non-returnable.
• Marimo moss balls that have been significantly damaged or altered by the customer are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
